Dr. Apostolos Karalexis

Dermatologist Dr. Apostolos Karalexis runs the Derma Hair Clinic, a central located in Athens clinic with modern equipment. Derma Hair Clinic  was awarded for five consecutive years from 2017- 2021 for excellent customer service by the what Clinic.com organization. Derma Hair clinic is licensed by the Athens Medical Association and is a recommended clinic by the Greek Ministry of Tourism for the medical tourism in Greece.

Dr. Karalexis has over 20 years of experience in Dermatology and Dermatologic surgery . He has a special interest in lasers, hair transplantation and hair diseases. He has been a hospital doctor at the Athens Naval Hospital, first as a consultant  and then as the director of the Dermatology Clinic for many years and has a great experience. Dermatologist Dr. Karalexis was trained at Tulane university New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, in an official  fellowship program in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery by professor  Dr. Millikan. In his studies, he had the opportunity to be trained in the surgical removal of malignant skin tumors with MOHS technique, in lasers and in hair transplantation. Great training was provided by Professors Dr. Coleman and Dr. Yarborough in modern lasers. This was followed by a mini fellowship in hair transplantation in San Francisco under the supervision of clinical professor  Dr. Panagotacos who is one of the pioneers in hair transplantation internationally.

Dr. Karalexis completed his residency in Dermatology  in 2000 at Andreas Syggros Hospital in Athens. This hospital is considered one of the best hospitals in Greece and a reference centre for dermatological and venereal diseases in the country. With the clinical experience he gained initially at Andreas Syggros Hospital and then at the Naval Hospital, Dr. Karalexis was able to help thousands of patients from all over the world.

   Dr. Karalexis was  also trained at the plastic surgery clinic of the Andreas Syggros Hospital for one year, where he performed hundreds of surgical removals of skin tumours. He has been involved in hair transplantation for over 20 years and has performed thousands of cases. He also performs eyebrows and beard transplantations with excellent results. During his  more than 20 years of practicing Dermatology Dr. Karalexis  has been a speaker at many scientific meetings giving lectures on Dermatologic Surgery, cosmetology, lasers and hair transplantation. He has also published articles and papers in many  Greek and foreign scientific journals. He has also made many presentations on dermatology and cosmetology in the Greek press and Greek media, as well as on television.
