Liposuction on the arms is almost exclusively applied to women. Women who have a significant amount of fat deposited on their arms often find themselves having to wear tops that are 2 or 3 sizes larger to fit around the arm area. How is the examination for arm liposuction carried out?
The patient’s examination is always done in an upright position with the arms extended horizontally to the sides and the thumbs pointing upward. In this position, it’s easier to properly assess the skin tone and the ability for skin contraction, keeping in mind the goal of fat removal from this area and the resulting outcome after the correction. In some patients, we opt to correct both the arms and the area at the back of the shoulders where the bra strap fastens simultaneously.
What technique is required?
At Derma Hair clinic, with years of experience in liposuction and liposculpture, we choose two points for the infiltration of the special anesthetic fluid for local anesthesia. One point is where the elbow begins, and the other is in the armpit. These points are chosen because they are areas where no scars remain in the final result. It should be noted that general anesthesia or sedation is not required and that the entire procedure is done exclusively with a special mixture of local anesthesia. The whole process is completely safe.
After local anesthesia is administered, we use very fine special cannulas with a diameter of 2-3 millimeters and, depending on the case, laser assistance to remove excess fat from the arm area. Special care must be taken near the elbow to ensure correct fat removal, achieving a very good result and satisfied patients, as this is a point that could be easily overlooked by the doctor.

All you need to do is purchase a special elastic corset from a pharmacy, which you should bring with you on the day of the procedure. You should wear this corset continuously for one week and then only at night for an additional three weeks.
